Leaderpromos Supports the Miles for Melanoma 5k

Did you know that over 160,000 people will learn they have melanoma this year? That's the entire population of Dayton, Ohio. Imagine an entire city - mothers, fathers, childern and friends - all diagnosed with the deadliest form of skin cancer.

In a series of 5k run/walk events held around the country, members of the melanoma community raise money, raise awareness and provide each other emotional support to make a difference.

This year's event, Miles for Melanoma, held in Gahanna, Ohio on September 30th, welcomed over 400 supporters who together raised over $50,000.

Leaderpromos showed its support again this year with 15 of our employees participating in the run/walk event.

Two of our team finished in the Top 10; Matt Shonkwiler and Megan Anderson (who came in first for the women's division), with Megan Trapp finishing in the Top 20 and Joe Rezabek and Karen Mills finishing in the Top 50.

We also had a special participant, Kaylee Bates' Black Labrador named "Champ" who kept pace with some of our team throughout the course.

Melanoma is the deadliest and fastest growing form of skin cancer and we all want a cure to be found soon. Miles for Melanoma is the way people come together to take action and help support this fight and the mission of the Melanoma Research Foundation.
